Result is a sharper jawline edge — not a face lift, but a meaningful improvement for early jowl. For patients whose jowl is mostly skin laxity rather than fat, we typically discuss non-surgical facelift options instead.
3. Persistent acne protocol
For cystic acne that recurs in the same anatomical spots — that is a problem of individual sebaceous glands, not of overall skin care. Agnes can permanently disable the problem gland, eliminating the recurrence. Highly targeted; typically 1-2 sessions per affected area. This is one of the cleanest, most-satisfying use cases for Agnes when patient selection is right.
What the session looks like
- Consultation and mapping (15-30 minutes). Photographs, anatomic mapping with skin marker, treatment plan discussed.
- Topical numbing (30-45 minutes). Compounded numbing cream applied to the treatment area.
- Treatment (20-45 minutes). Multiple precise insertions of the Agnes needle, RF delivered in graded settings.
- Immediate post-care (15 minutes). Cold compress, mineral SPF, written aftercare instructions.
Downtime — be honest about it
- Day 0: Swelling begins immediately. Treated area visibly puffy. Cold compress and head elevated for sleep.
- Day 1-3: Maximal swelling. Under-eye swelling is most visible. Most patients work from home or take days off social commitments.
- Day 4-7: Swelling resolves. Bruising may peak at days 3-5 and fade through day 7-10. Mineral makeup hides most of it by day 5.
- Week 2-4: Visible improvement starts. Skin texture begins to change.

Treated areas swell visibly for 24-72 hours and bruise sometimes for 3-7 days. Under-eye treatment usually shows the most visible swelling because the tissue is thin. Most patients take the day of and the next day off social commitments. Camera-ready by day 5-7 for most patients with light makeup.
