What CoolSculpting costs here
Priced per cycle. A cycle is one applicator, on one area, for one session, and knowing how many cycles an area takes is the whole budgeting question, so it is set out below rather than left to the consultation.
- CoolSculpting cycle
- Abdomen, typical first round
- Flanks, typical first round
- Double chin, typical
- Consultation & InBody scan
Most areas benefit from a second round eight to twelve weeks later, so a realistic abdomen plan is around four cycles in total. You are quoted the full plan before booking rather than one cycle at a time.
CoolSculpting is quoted by the cycle, and we tell you how many an area typically needs before you decide. Most areas take one to two, with a second round considered at twelve weeks.
- Quoted in writing before anything starts. You hear the full figure at your consultation, not after treatment and not on the day.
- The consultation is free, with no obligation to book and no charge if you decide against it.
- We do not bill insurance. No prior authorization, no coverage denial part-way through, and no treatment decision made by a plan rather than by your clinician.
- Cherry and CareCredit financing are available, and membership pricing is lower than standard rates.
Fat reduction is not weight loss

This is the distinction the whole category blurs, and getting it wrong is the most expensive mistake a patient makes here.
CoolSculpting reduces fat in one pocket. Around 20 to 25 percent of the fat in the treated area, per round. It will not move the scale meaningfully, it will not change your metabolic markers, and it will not reach visceral fat, the fat around your organs that actually matters for health, which sits too deep for an applicator to touch.
If the goal is to lose weight, this is the wrong treatment and we will say so at the consultation. That conversation belongs with medical weight loss.
CoolSculpting earns its place afterwards: the flank, the lower abdomen, the area under the chin that stays put when everything else has responded. That is the case it is genuinely good at.
How it compares to the alternatives
| CoolSculpting | Medical weight loss | Skin tightening | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Treats | A specific pocket of fat | Total body fat and metabolic health | Loose or crepey skin |
| Changes the scale | No | Yes | No |
| Reaches visceral fat | No | Yes | No |
| Timeline | 3 to 12 weeks per round | Months, ongoing | 8 to 12 weeks |
| Downtime | None | None | 2 to 7 days |
These are often sequential rather than alternatives. Weight loss first, then contouring for what remains, then tightening if the skin needs it. Doing them in the wrong order wastes money on areas that were going to change anyway.
What happens at your first visit
An InBody body composition scan
Free, and it takes under a minute. It separates fat mass from muscle and shows visceral fat, which decides whether contouring is the right conversation or whether weight loss is.
An honest read on whether this suits you
CoolSculpting works on a pinchable pocket. If what you are pointing at is loose skin or visceral fullness, no applicator will fix it, and you will be told that here rather than after four cycles.
A cycle plan and a total, in writing
How many cycles the area takes, how many rounds, and what the whole thing costs. Not one cycle sold at a time.
Treatment, 35 to 45 minutes a cycle
Intense cold for the first ten minutes, then numbness. Most people work through it. The post-treatment massage is brief and is the least comfortable part.
The areas people actually ask about

Applicators come in shapes, and the honest answer to “can you treat this?” depends on whether the fat is pinchable and whether an applicator fits it.
The lower abdomen is the most requested area and one of the most reliable, because the pocket is usually well defined. Two cycles cover it, and most people repeat once.
The flanks, what people call love handles, respond well and need one cycle a side.
The area under the chin takes a smaller applicator, one to two cycles, and is often the most satisfying because a small change is highly visible.
The lower belly pouch after pregnancy is where we most often say no. If the fullness is loose skin or separated abdominal muscle rather than fat, freezing it changes nothing, and no number of cycles will. That is a skin tightening conversation or a surgical one.
What the twelve weeks after actually look like
The first hour
The treated area is numb, firm and often oddly shaped from the suction. That resolves within a day. The two-minute massage immediately afterwards is uncomfortable and it matters, because it measurably improves the result.
Week one to three
Numbness, tingling, occasional itching or tenderness. Some people get a brief period where the area feels more swollen than before treatment. All of it is normal and none of it needs anything done about it.
Week three to six
The first visible change. Your body clears the frozen cells gradually, which is why this cannot be hurried and why photographs beat memory for judging it.
Week eight to twelve
The full result, and the point at which we decide together whether a second round is worth it. Most areas benefit from one; some do not, and we will say which.
Who this is for, and who it is not

People near their goal weight with a defined, pinchable pocket that has not responded to diet or training. Lower abdomen, flanks, inner thigh, under the chin, bra area.
Who it is not for
If weight loss is the goal, this will disappoint you, see medical weight loss. If the concern is loose or crepey skin rather than fat, an applicator cannot tighten it and skin tightening is the right route. If you want muscle definition, that is not what this does.
There are also genuine contraindications, including cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease and paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria. We screen for those and decline where it is not appropriate.
Planned against a measurement, not a guess
- Consultation
- Free, includes an InBody scan
- Credential
- Board-certified nurse practitioner
- Downtime
- None
Every consultation here starts with a body composition scan rather than a mirror. It is the fastest way to establish whether the thing you want changed is fat, skin or weight, and those three answers point at three different treatments with very different prices.
Book your free consultationWhy we quote cycles, not packages
The industry norm is a large multi-cycle package sold at the consultation, priced as a bundle so the per-cycle number is hard to work out. We quote per cycle, and we tell you how many an area typically needs before you decide.
The reason is that response varies and you cannot know yours in advance. Most areas need one to two cycles and benefit from a second round twelve weeks later; some people get enough from the first that a second is not worth their money. A package sold upfront makes that conversation impossible, because the money is already spent.
It also means we can say the harder thing: that for some people the honest answer is a medical weight loss program rather than fat freezing, because the fat in question is not the localized, pinchable kind this treats. We would rather lose the cycle and keep the patient.

Answers before you book
How much does CoolSculpting cost?
Quoted by the cycle. A cycle is one applicator on one area for one session, and most areas need two cycles to cover them properly, so an abdomen is usually a two-cycle first round. You are quoted the full plan at consultation before anything is booked, and the consultation is free.
How many cycles will I need?
An abdomen usually takes two cycles to cover, flanks two (one each side), a double chin one to two. Most people then repeat the area once, eight to twelve weeks later, for a fuller result. So a realistic abdomen plan is four cycles across two rounds. We map that at the consultation rather than selling one cycle and letting you discover the rest.
Is CoolSculpting a weight loss treatment?
No, and this is the most important thing on the page. It reduces fat in a specific pocket; it does not lower your weight meaningfully and it will not change your health markers. If the goal is to lose weight, medical weight loss is the honest answer and we will point you there. CoolSculpting is for the areas that stay put after the weight has already come off.
How much fat does one cycle remove?
Around 20 to 25 percent of the fat in the treated pocket, per round. That is a real change in a specific area and it is not a dramatic one. Anyone showing you a transformation photo from a single cycle is showing you weight loss, not fat freezing.
When will I see results?
Change begins around three to four weeks and is complete at about twelve. The frozen fat cells are cleared gradually by the body, which is why this cannot be rushed and why we schedule the follow-up round at eight to twelve weeks rather than sooner.
Is the fat gone permanently?
The treated cells are gone permanently. The remaining cells in that area can still enlarge if you gain weight, so the result holds if your weight holds. That is worth being clear about before you spend on it.
What does it feel like?
Intense cold and a strong pulling sensation for the first five to ten minutes, then the area goes numb and most people read or work through the rest. Each cycle runs 35 to 45 minutes. Afterwards the area is massaged for a couple of minutes, which is the least comfortable part.
Is there downtime?
None. You can go straight back to work. Expect numbness, tingling, swelling and sometimes tenderness for one to three weeks in the treated area, which is normal and resolves on its own.
Do you offer Emsculpt?
No. Emsculpt builds muscle through induced contraction; CoolSculpting reduces fat. They solve different problems. If muscle definition rather than fat reduction is what you are after, we will tell you CoolSculpting is the wrong treatment rather than sell it to you.
