What laser treatments cost here
Four device families, priced per session by area. Hair removal and IPL are quick appointments; resurfacing is longer and carries real downtime, so both are listed.
- Laser hair removal, small
- Laser hair removal, medium
- Laser hair removal, large
- IPL photofacial
- Laser toning (Q-switch)
- CoolPeel, eyes
- CoolPeel, neck
- CoolPeel, full face
- CoolPeel, face & neck
- Erbium, face, neck or chest
- Erbium resurfacing, full
- CO2, lips
- CO2, eyes, neck or chest
- CO2, hands
- CO2, full face
- Multi-session packages
Hair removal usually takes six sessions; IPL and resurfacing usually three. You are quoted the full course at consultation rather than session by session, and the consultation is free.
Laser is quoted by area and by device, and most treatments are a course rather than a single visit, so the number that matters is the course, not the session.
- Quoted in writing before anything starts. You hear the full figure at your consultation, not after treatment and not on the day.
- The consultation is free, with no obligation to book and no charge if you decide against it.
- We do not bill insurance. No prior authorization, no coverage denial part-way through, and no treatment decision made by a plan rather than by your clinician.
- Cherry and CareCredit financing are available, and membership pricing is lower than standard rates.
Which device treats which problem
The most expensive mistake in this category is buying the right treatment for the wrong problem. Color, texture, hair and laxity are four different jobs.
| Problem | Device | Sessions | Downtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unwanted hair | Hair removal laser | About 6 | None |
| Sun spots, brown pigment | IPL or Q-switch toning | About 3 | A few hours of redness |
| Facial redness, flushing | IPL | About 3 | A few hours of redness |
| Texture, fine lines, mild scarring | CoolPeel or Erbium | 1 to 3 | CoolPeel 2 to 3 days, Erbium 3 to 7 |
| Deep lines, significant scarring | Full CO2 | 1 to 3 | 3 to 7 days |
| Loose skin, jowls | Not a laser, see skin tightening | 1 to 3 | 3 to 7 days |
Laxity is on this table specifically so it can be ruled out. No laser on this page meaningfully tightens loose skin; that is a radiofrequency microneedling job, and being sold resurfacing for it is a common and expensive disappointment.
CoolPeel and CO2 are the same laser

This confuses almost everyone, and clinics rarely explain it because the confusion sells two treatments.
Both run on our Tetra Pro CO2 laser. The difference is how the energy is delivered. CoolPeel is a very short, superficial pulse that removes the top layer and leaves almost no residual heat, so you get brightening and texture improvement for two to three days of looking sunburned.
Full CO2 goes deeper. It ablates more tissue and drives more collagen remodelling, which is what deeper lines and real acne scarring need. The cost is three to seven days of visible peeling and a considerably higher price.
Most people asking for “a CO2 laser” want CoolPeel results with CO2 marketing attached. We will tell you which one your skin actually needs, and CoolPeel full face at is the right answer more often than full CO2.
What happens at your first visit
Fitzpatrick typing before anything else
Your skin type decides which devices are safe and at what settings. On deeper skin tones some light-based treatments carry genuine pigment risk, and this is the step that prevents a burn or a patch of hyperpigmentation.
Sun exposure and medication history
Recent tanning, isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication and a history of cold sores all change the plan or postpone it. This is a safety conversation, not a formality.
A session count and a total, in writing
By area and by course, not by single session, because almost nothing here works in one. You see the full number before booking.
A patch test where it is warranted
On higher-risk skin types or first-time resurfacing we test a small area first and review it before treating the rest. It costs a visit and prevents the outcome nobody can undo.
Aftercare, which decides half the result

More laser results are compromised afterwards than during. The treatment is twenty minutes; the fortnight following it is where the outcome is actually decided.
Sun is the whole game. Freshly treated skin has no defense, and a single unprotected afternoon can produce hyperpigmentation that takes months to resolve and undoes what you paid for. Daily broad-spectrum SPF is not a suggestion here, and for two weeks after resurfacing it is the most important thing you do.
Stop your actives. Retinoids, acids and exfoliants come out of the routine for several days either side. Going back to a normal regime too early is the most common self-inflicted problem we see.
Do not pick. Peeling after resurfacing is the treatment working. Helping it along lifts skin before it is ready and is how a good result becomes a scar.
For hair removal, shave between sessions but never wax or pluck, the laser needs the follicle intact to target it, and plucking removes the thing being treated.
Who this is for, and who it is not

Laser and light suit unwanted hair, sun damage, brown pigment, facial redness, uneven texture, enlarged pores and acne scarring. Southern California sun exposure makes the pigment and redness cases especially common here.
Who it is not for
Blonde, red, gray and white hair respond weakly to hair removal because there is little pigment for the laser to target, and we say so before you pay rather than after four sessions. Recently tanned skin should wait. Loose skin is not a laser problem. Active infection, recent isotretinoin and certain photosensitising medications are all reasons to postpone.
Where a device carries meaningful risk for your skin type, we recommend a different route rather than proceeding carefully and hoping. That judgment is the reason to have this done in a medical setting.
Why settings matter more than the machine

- Consultation
- Free, includes Fitzpatrick typing
- Devices
- Tetra Pro CO2, Erbium, IPL, Q-switch, hair removal
Every device on this page exists in dozens of clinics nearby. What is not interchangeable is the decision about fluence, depth and pass count for a particular skin type, the same laser produces a good result or a burn depending on those settings. That is the argument for a clinician rather than a technician, and it is why the consultation starts with your skin type rather than with a menu.
Book your free consultationYour skin tone changes the answer

Laser targets pigment, and the pigment in your skin competes with the pigment being treated. That is not a footnote. It determines which device is safe for you, what settings it runs at, and in some cases whether we treat at all.
On deeper skin tones, aggressive IPL is a real risk of burns and of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that outlasts the problem being treated. The answer is not to refuse treatment; it is to choose a device that targets water or the follicle rather than surface pigment, run conservative settings, and test-patch first. We assess your skin type at the consultation and tell you which of our devices suits it. Any clinic that quotes you a laser package without asking is not assessing that at all.

Answers before you book
How much is laser hair removal?
Priced by area size, from small areas such as the neck, hands or face up to large areas. Sessions run about 30 minutes. Most areas need six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, and six-session packages are quoted at consultation.
How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Usually six, sometimes more on hormonally driven hair such as the face or for lighter or finer hair. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only affects follicles in the active phase, which is the whole reason a single session cannot finish the job. Expect maintenance once or twice a year afterwards.
What is the difference between CO2 and CoolPeel?
They are the same device used differently. CoolPeel is a superficial mode on our Tetra Pro CO2 laser: it removes the very top layer with almost no heat left behind, so downtime is two to three days. Full CO2 resurfacing goes deeper, treats more, and costs three to seven days of real downtime. Full CO2 costs more than CoolPeel for the same area, because it goes deeper.
What does IPL treat?
IPL is not technically a laser. It targets color, brown sun spots and red vascular flushing, rather than texture. It is the right answer for sun damage and redness and the wrong one for lines or laxity. Most people need three sessions.
Which laser is right for my skin?
It depends on the problem and on your skin type. Sun damage and redness respond to IPL. Texture, fine lines and acne scarring respond to Erbium or CO2. Unwanted hair responds to the hair removal laser. Laxity is a different question again and is usually better served by radiofrequency microneedling. We assess Fitzpatrick type at the consultation, because on deeper skin tones some light-based devices carry real pigment risk and others do not.
How much downtime is there?
Hair removal and IPL: none to speak of, some redness for a few hours. CoolPeel: two to three days looking sunburned, then light flaking. Erbium and full CO2: three to seven days of visible peeling. If you have an event, book resurfacing at least three weeks before it.
Does laser hair removal work on blonde or gray hair?
Poorly, and we would rather tell you before you pay. The laser targets pigment in the follicle, so light blonde, red, gray and white hair respond weakly or not at all. Dark hair on lighter skin responds best. We will be straight with you about expected results at the consultation.
Is it safe on darker skin?
It depends entirely on the device. Our hair removal settings are adjusted by Fitzpatrick type, and resurfacing at conservative depths is generally manageable. IPL carries more pigment risk on deeper skin tones, and where that is the case we will say so and recommend a different route rather than proceeding carefully and hoping.
Can I combine treatments?
Often, but not on the same day for resurfacing. IPL for color and Erbium for texture are a common pairing across separate visits. We map the order at the consultation, because sequence matters: treating pigment before texture usually produces a better result than the reverse.
